The Miniature Schnauzer

The Miniature Schnauzer is the smallest of the Schnauzer breeds, which all originated in Germany. They are only classified as Terrier in the USA, as most countries classify all Schnauzer as utility or working dog.

Miniature schnauzers are brave, spirited little family dogs. They enjoy the company of children and other animals, especially if raised with them from an early age. These dogs are prized for their reliability and affectionate nature and make excellent watchogs.

They respond well to early socialization and obedience training. Some schnauzers are outgoing with strangers and others are more reserved. They are ideal for apartment living, but needs exercice. They are not aggresive but will take on much larger dogs if provoced.
