The Bullmastiff

 

The Bullmastiff are symmetrical animal, showing great strength, endurance, and alertness. The foundation breeding was 60% Mastiff and 40% Bulldog. The breed was developed in England by gamekeepers for protection against poachers.

Bullmastiffs are fearless and confident, yet docile. They are reliable, intelligent, and have a natural instinct to guard their families. Early obedience training is essential for these powerful, active, and sometime stubborn dogs.

Bullmastiffs accept strangers and are affectionate and patient with children and other animals in their family. They will not, however, tolerate trespassers. Some can be heavy droolers.

Weight: 100-130 lbs.
Life Span: 8-10 yrs.
