The spirited Australian terrier is descended from cairn, Skye, and Yorkshire terriers. It was used as a ratter in 19th-century Australia.

Australian terriers are affectionate, alert, spirited and couragous little dogs.They respond well to training and makes delightful pet. They are always eager to please and loves being with children if raised with them and treated with respect.

They were originally bred to kill small vermin, but may be able to live with cats if raised with them. These terriers are pugnacious and tenacious, they will not back down.

This dog needs to be brushed two to three times a week. Daily exercise in a secured area will keep this dog happy.

Weight: 12-14 lbs.
Life Span: 12-15 yrs.
