The American Bobtail

This breed started in early 1960 when a large ferral cat with a short tail was found and later was bred to a domestic Siamese.

From this litter, some bobbed tail kittens were born and so the breed.

The American Bobtail is a muscular cat with massive bone structure. Males range in weight between 15 to 20 pounds, smaller for the females. Has opposite to wild cats or their hybrids, the American Bobtail is a perfectly domesticated and is highly intelligent.
